Our Facility

As the first funeral home in the United States, the history of Kirk & Nice is legendary. Since its founding in 1761, we at Kirk & Nice haven’t forgotten that personal attention and genuine care are the most important services we can provide. Like our forefathers, we also haven’t forgotten that the cornerstone of our business is community involvement and getting to know the people we serve.

Today, Kirk & Nice offers two funeral home locations conveniently situated on the grounds of beautiful memorial parks: Kirk & Nice, Inc. at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting and Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, Inc. at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville. Whether you are in need of immediate service or are interested in the many preplanning options available, you’ll find that we always go the extra mile to provide special assistance and answer any questions you may have.

At both Kirk & Nice funeral home locations, our continuing commitment is to serve each family as we would our own—with compassion, understanding and professionalism you can rely on. At the Kirk & Nice funeral home and cemetery combinations, we believe that every life is unique. Every funeral should be too. We celebrate life. For those who are thinking of planning their arrangements in advance, we offer The Simplicity Plan® prearrangement program, an easy way to handle an important family responsibility.

Located on the grounds of George Washington Memorial Park, Kirk & Nice, Inc. offers all funeral home, cemetery and cremation arrangements in one location. Kirk & Nice enhances the timeless appeal of the park itself. It features a beautifully rebuilt chapel and a foyer with a mahogany fireplace hearth. George Washington Memorial Park

GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PARK

In October of 1777, George Washington and the Continental Army set up camp in Philadelphia, weary between battles. Their encampment—now known as George Washington Memorial Park—stands as a symbol of patriotism that echoes much of our nation’s history and tradition. Many burial options are available here, including traditional ground burial, lawn crypt gardens, cremation memorialization and mausoleum entombment.

Heritage Chapel Mausoleum

HERITAGE CHAPEL MAUSOLEUM

The Heritage Chapel Mausoleum overlooks George Washington Memorial Park. Built in the late 1970s, the mausoleum is a popular choice for area families as a lasting tribute and final resting place. It features breathtaking stained glass and boasts a chapel so beautiful that it is often used for weddings.

KIRK & NICE SUBURBAN CHAPEL, INC. (FEASTERVILLE)

The original Kirk & Nice funeral home opened over 200 years ago, in a bygone era of colonial spirit and American values. This tradition continues today with our funeral home that opened in 1998, located on the grounds of Sunset Memorial Park. This combination allows Kirk & Nice and Sunset Memorial Park to offer all funeral and cemetery services from one beautiful location, which means added convenience and savings for area families. Each detail of the new Kirk & Nice facility was painstakingly planned with your family’s comfort in mind. Our inspirational chapel seats 200 guests and features cathedral ceilings, rich hardwood accents and an advanced audio system. Five private arrangement areas, spacious staterooms and a convenient visitor lounge were designed to provide the most pleasant of surroundings. Elegant works of art hang on the walls of the funeral home and add to Kirk & Nice’s intimate atmosphere. An ample, well-lighted parking area is immediately adjacent to the facility.
